How do I change the frequency of feed updates?

Flock's Feeds Sidebar updates every hour, but we also provide an advanced option to change the frequency of these updates.

Please Note: The more often your feeds update, the slower experience you have with Flock will be. Adjust this with caution.

1. Type "about:config" (minus the quotation marks) into the addressbar and hit enter
2. Click the "I'll be careful, I promise!" button (but do be careful here, as there are powerful options contained in this section)
3. Paste "flock.poller.defaultRefreshInterval;3600" into the Filter field
4. Double-click the result to edit the RefreshInterval
5. Change the number in the dialog. This number represents seconds (3600 seconds = 1 hour).
6. Close the window

Can I export my news feeds from Flock's Feed reader?

To export your feeds from Flock as an opml file:

  1. Open the Feeds sidebar
  2. Open the Feed Options menu
  3. Choose "Export Feeds"
  4. Choose a name and location for your .opml file
  5. Click Save

When does Flock update feeds?

Every hour Flock will check feeds for updates. You can refresh individual feeds by using the Reload button while viewing a feed.
