Saving an entire page
Saving a web page, or part of a web page (such as a single image), lets you view it when you're not connected to the Internet.
To save a page for later viewing
- Open the File menu and choose Save Page As. The Save As dialog appears.
- Choose a location for the saved page.
- Choose a format for the page you want to save:
- Web Page, Complete: Save the entire web page including pictures. This choice lets you view it as originally shown with pictures, but may not keep links embedded in the original page. Flock creates a new directory to store the page and its pictures and other files.
- Web Page, HTML Only: Save the original page without pictures. This choice preserves any links embedded in the original web page.
- Text file: Save the original page as a text file. This choice will not preserve links embedded in the original web page, but lets you see a text version of the web page in any text editor.
- Type a name for the page and click Save.
Saving a single frame instead of the whole page

Saving a page without displaying it
This is useful for retrieving an unformatted page that isn't intended for viewing.
- Use the mouse to point to the link.
- Right-click (Ctrl-click).
A menu appears. - Select Save Link to Disk.
The Save File dialog appears. - Choose a location for the saved page.

Note: Some links automatically download and save files to your hard drive after you click them. The URLs for these links often begin with "ftp" or end with a file-type extension such as "au" or "mpeg." These links might transmit software, sound, or movie files and can launch helper applications that support the files.
