What are extensions?

Extensions are small add-ons that change how Flock works, or add new functionality.

Getting and installing extensions

You can download and install extensions from Flock's Extend page.

To download extensions

1. Open the Tools menu and choose Extensions.
   The extension manager appears.
2. Click Get More Extensions. Flock's Extend page opens. The page gives you information about each extension available to download.
3. To download an extension, click its link and follow the steps on the extension's page.

Updating extensions

Flock notifies you when a new version for one of your installed extensions is available. If an extension listed in the extension manager has an Update Now button next to it, click the button to update it.

To check for a newer version of an extension you've installed, open the Tools menu and choose Extensions. If an update is available for an extension, you'll see an Update Now button.

Removing extensions

To remove an extension

1. Open the Tools menu and choose Extensions.
   The extension manager appears.
2. Select the extension you want to remove.
3. Click Uninstall.
4. Quit and restart Flock for the changes to take effect.
