Like most companies, we keep a close eye on what is driving traffic to our website. The changes are fascinating to watch week to week...small blog posts end up sending solid chunks of traffic, large articles sometimes send surprisingly little, and occasionally very interesting items pop out at us.
About two months ago we started seeing major traffic from a new website: www.ThirtyDayChallenge2008.com. We took a look at the site and discovered two interesting things:
1) They're recommending that everyone taking The Challenge use Flock as their primary browser.
2) They have a really cool thing going.
The Thirty Day Challenge is a program in which you spend thirty days learning about internet marketing and at the end, you will have made your first buck on the web. It's a cool concept and is run in a great, no-strings-attached sort of way. These guys make their money in internet marketing, and this project is about them giving back. They've grown to be arguably the largest web-based learning program/community in just 4 years. And they recommend Flock as their browser of choice because "Flock is the best web browser or internet browser that you can download... and is endlessly customizable."
So hats off to you, Thirty Day Challenge! Thanks for the vote of confidence and good luck on your admirable mission.

can you change the skin on flock? I used to do that on neoplanet, neoplanet obviously no longer exists.
You can put me in the column of happy Thirty Day Challenge Flock users.
I'm another one found you through the 30DC, and am using it to build my site at http://alternativevehiclesreport.net. Your "blog this" option for pics and videos I stumble across is fantastic, although I've suggested a couple tweaks for it I'd love to see...
Crystal
Been using Flock since it launched and really love it!
I discovered the 30DC at the start of August, just after they'd started. One of the first things I was instructed to do by the 30DC team was to download Flock. Now, I'm a Firefox fan and dislike IE immensely. After downloading Flock I was speechless - what a fantastic web browser - I'm definitely sticking with it and recommending it to all my friends. I especially love the media stream at the top and the people sidebar on the left. Flock rocks! And of course, so does the 30DC :)
Flock really is well suited for the 30DC.
Keep up the good work!
The thirty day challenge totally rocks and so does flock!!
I'm actually one of them taking part in the 30 day challenge, and if it wasn't for the guys at 30DC I would have never known of Flock. I have to say that I much rather use Flock now than any other browser but for the simple act that it is so customizable and friendly to the new Web 2.0. Thanks Flock for making my life easier!!
I think its super cool that my Firefox transferred over to Flock, therefore I didn't lose my work from last year's challenge.
I've been using Flock a couple months now, since pre-season of the #30DC. It is just too Flockin' cool! The accounts & services saves a lot of time. That piclens plugin is awesome too. Just don't try to install several plugins at once. It will lock up when you start it and you have re-install it to get it to load. Still 100X better than IE.

I downloaded Flock onto my brand new laptop and I wouldn't go back to IE, FireFox, or Opera! It's just so darn nice to work with! It makes working on the internet very easy.
Yes, I also came to Flock via the 30DC and Ed Dale. And I am very glad I did.
As previously mentioned by other posters, I too discovered Flock through the Thirty Day Challenge. By far, I rank it as the best browser I have ever used and will never go back to the others.
A former IE user with limited exposure to Firefox, I have been flabbergasted by the functionality and usability that comes with the Flock browser. After using Flock for ONE day, I wondered if I hadn't unknowingly been locked in a technology cave for five or ten years. Well, I'm up to speed now. It's a huge relief. To all of you at Flock, nice work! ~ from another Thirty Day Challenge participant
I think it's great that people are discovering flock, but I don't think you should be promoting a website that exists to teach people how to spam. It makes the websites and services that flock integrates less desirable to visit when more and more people are spamming them, and 30DC teaches people how to do just that.
Hi guys n gals fellow 30-day-challengers thanks to Ed Dale I now use Flock browser daily to me it is like having a modern day FiloFax Personal Organisers online, many many thanks to all the team at Flock, nice work! ~ from another Thirty Day Challenge participant lol
Phillip Skinner
strangely enough, I've been using flock long before I joined thirty day challenge, and I first learned about thirty day challenge through a comment on this very blog. :)
30DC does not teach people to spam. We are taught to visit relevant sites and leave appropriate comments. True, some people don't get it, but there will always be someone in a group who sours it a bit for everyone.
I use to blog in hindi at my blog kuhasa.blogspot.com and roushan.wordpress.com. I can not get correct script in flock as i get in
IE. i use to transliterate roman in devanagry at www.quillpad.com and they say that non IE browsers doesnt support Unicode so hindi doesnt looks correct at these. can you fix it as this issue is very importent for hindi bloggers
If it wasn't for the 30 DC I would have never found Flock. Flock keeps me organized and in touch with so many social avenues at once. The transfer of info from IE worked like a charm. Amazing. Thank you Flock!
Flock & 30DC team make perfect partners for this fast & furious course we are taking in August. I will be keeping BOTH as part of my daily routine online! Good on you!
Thanks for the kind words, everyone! So glad to hear you are so happy with Flock!
@celenco: Your post has been removed. Tym provided his opinion in an inoffensive manner, you responded in a way that is not in the spirit of collaboration and innovation. Bob's response, in comparison, is appropriate.
@roushan: Sorry to hear about the issue. Shoot an email to our Community Support Lead, Jen Anderberg, at jen at flock dot com.

I 'was' a flock user, until FF 3.0 came out ;( Sorry guys.
I felt that Flock was a great browser compared to FF 2.x and Safari. The community features are awesome. But then FF 3 came out, the speed was amazing to say the least. I tried to stick with Flock, but that extra 0.5 seconds I had to wait for a page to render was painful as I knew there was an alternative.
I look every day for an upgraded version of Flock that will hopefully address these speed issues. I do like Flock, but I don't like the lag time. I don't use the community tools enough to justify the speed difference.
Anxiously awaiting a speed bump!
Dale, you might want to have a look at Flock 2.0b2 it's still in beta but I've been using it for quite a while now and haven't had the slightest problem. I've also read about others liking it...the reason why ..it's based on FF3...and very fast compared to the 1.2.
there are 3 builds eco which is green with ecological feeds gloss which is pink with fashion feeds and plain flock which is blue with white and blue and maybe later I'll make a purple one since I know how to make skins for other stuff.
and yeah I'm a 30dc er!
Love Flock, love it love it love it!
Hello Evan
Nice to hear that people are recommended Flock to their users. I think the reason is obvious. That is; Flock really is a powerful and cool Browser. And people want to spread the word to others.
There are still people who don't know about Flock. I myself have told about Flock to many of my friends who now thanks me for telling them the info.
Great browser - I absolutely love the ease of integrating the multimedia and social stuff I love....now if it only came in pink!!!
Tasha
Ah, but you CAN get Flock in pink! Check out the Flock Gloss edition. There's also the green-themed Flock Eco edition.
Flock is a great browser. I had some crashing problems early on , but I think it's solved.
I found Flock through 30 dc and like its many integrated features a lot
Thanks Flock
Love Flock with a Passion and now have most of our office staff converted over (except for the IE holdouts, but they will never change). Is there a way to keep logged into Facebook on the people tab between opening and closing?
Chadd
I have just downloaded it, I use Firefox and I love it compared to the browser I used to use *urgh* so when I heard about Flock I was curious, same gecko based engine. I still hesitated, however after several recommendations from all over the web but mostly at MySpace (which is my internet hangout) then one of my favorite theme creators from Moz said they had started here, I though why not. Off to install and just signed up for an account :o) Helen
PS. I am also going fully linux on all my machines and see Flock is available for that too, yay! I also love the name "Flock"
The 30 day challenge is exactly how I found out about Flock! I am just now digging into Flock to see how I can integrate it into my daily business.
I had the pleasure of finding Flock a couple of weeks before starting 30DC. I was amazed to implement its functionality through 30DC though. This is definitely my social media broswer.
Thanx flock. You guys rocked during 30DC
I found Flock while searching for an alternative to the browsers at school. I had been using Firefox, but when I saw the people and news feeds on Flock, I promptly imported all my settings and add-ons (flawlessly!!!) and have recommended Flock to several of my friends.
What can I say that hasn't already been said? Absolutely brilliant. Like other converts I have used IE, Firefox and Safari but Flock beats them hands down. It is obvious that a lot of thought has gone into the creation of Flock and as an end user I really appreciate that. Well done folks :-)
I found Flock through 30Day Challenge also.
Ed Dale and his mates give a lot of valuable info
and are certainly entitled to making a profit.
I've switched over from FF3 and have tried
Google Chrome. Right now I am using the latest
Flock 2 beta.
This is my third profile because, apparently, piclens, aka cooliris, kept
causing Flock to crash. Thank goodness that the foxmarks extension works
with this version of Flock.
I just started to use Flock and not sure how I like it. It seems to be ok, but the jury is still out.
Flock is the best browser out there for people into the social thing including marketers. I discovered Flock thanks to the Thirty Day Challenge. Ed Dale is the Master Mind behind the Thirty Day Challenge and I would say he is a genius. I have not used any other browser since I started using Flock. You guys deserve a real thumbs up for such an outstanding product. Thanks!!!
Better than the average Browser
Thanks
The Thirty Day Challenge sounds great. I think I'm going to get involved.
I'm joining this sounds like a fun experiment to earn some more cash for my project.
Thanks
Jay
Keep up the good work!
I Tried and failed
Haha So did I merry christmas though
I loved thirty day challenge, I learned lots of useful things.
Hello...I was initially reluctant to use Flock because I loved FireFox so much (I still do). I downloaded Flock just because Thirty Day Challenge suggested it. And wow! What have you done to browsing! It's just awesome! So many things can be done just by few clicks! Great work!!
30 day challenge is a great way to promote this - sounds like fun!
