What if you sat down in a restaurant and the waiter asked you “…would you like that Good, Great, or UN-BE-LIEVABLE?” Of course you might ask about price, but if all options were free, of course you’d choose “UN-BE-LIEVABLE”.

Flock 2 beta 2 badgeThat’s why we’ve been working so hard on our Flock 2 Beta, and our audience of loyal Flockstars has been growing so quickly. Everybody loves the latest improvements Mozilla’s Firefox 3 technology: much improved performance, tighter security and improved usability. However, what if you could have all of those great features AND all of the award-winning innovations that Flock offers?  (That would be the integrated People, Media, WebMail, Photo Uploader, Blog Editor, Feed Reader, and more.) Today, we’re making our second beta of Flock 2 available for everyone to enjoy, and you can take your browsing experience from great…to UN-BE-LIEVABLE for free.

In this latest release of Flock 2 Beta (two) we’ve taken your feedback very much to heart and included over 175 bug fixes, and incorporated Mozilla’s latest security patch from their 3.0.1 release.  Flock 2 Beta (two) is fast, even more stable and polished.

Now lets get back to the UN-BE-LIEVABLE part.  Millions of people still keep their lives ‘organized’ on the Web by opening heaps of tabs.  Those uninitiated to Flock often say “I don’t need anything to manage my stuff; I keep them open in tabs.” We believe this is not terribly different than ‘organizing’ your life by stacking papers all over your desk. People around the world are falling in love with Flock’s ability to help them remain connected to the variety of sites, services, and content that interests them, without stacking tabs all over their desktop. Flock keeps your world organized and brings your most important and interesting items and events to you.

Go ahead: order up the “UN-BE-LIEVABLE” version of browsing that leaves tired old conventional browsing in the dust…or, trapped under heaps of tabs.

You can get Flock 2 Beta (two) from http://www.flock.com/beta/download, where you can also find several articles detailing the improvements we’ve made.

-Enjoy

you really did some good work on this release ..
good job .

And you turn it into the reality!!
thanks so much!!
I love flock!!!

Hi Dan: If you don't know by now I am a natural born promoter and a FLOCKSTAR and use the tools of intersocial networking on the web all the time to highlight FLOCK and even walk or use snipping tools to send clips to friends, of my browser in action and highlighted in yellow. Anyhoo, hope you got my FLOCKBAR by FLOCKSTAR wallpaper from photo gallery on FACEBOOK FLOCK page or FLOCK GROUP.

BTW, I am using the version referrred several weeks ago from Getsatisfaction.com forum and at the time it was a pretty scripted and plain page to download the version CODENAME: Jackdaw..took me a week to find out that is a bird and not a person..HAHAHA!!

IS the JACKDAW version the same because I just love it...or should I download and install this BETA? Here are my notes on jackdaw version:

A new and improved release already? :) You people surely are great.

Flock team is doing great job and doing it really fast. I can't wait to install the latest “UN-BE-LIEVABLE” Flock :) Just waiting for the download to complete.

Thank You Flock Team for your hard work.

Im gonna love this =)
Great job once again guys.

U Owns!

Will it be a memory hog like FF3?

Amazing again you Flockers. Using a bit more memory than I'd like but running pretty smoothly and much quicker than the previous release.

Thanks!

I installed this and can't get it to run at all. It crashes immediately after it opens, before the window opens. I am running OS X 10.4.11 on 2GHz Intel Core Duo. I restarted my Mac but still the same.

I don't know if this is the right place to post this.

Loving Flock as always. (^_^(

last time i checked it was spelt unbelievable...

Babs: Can you try running Flock in Safe Mode and disabling all your extensions? If it will run without extensions, then it is probably an extension causing the crash. Enable your extensions one-by-one until Flock crashes again, and there's your probable culprit. You might try tracking down the extension's developer if that's the case.

You can find instructions on how to run Flock in safe mode from this Flock FAQ: http://www.flock.com/node/61805

Hi. I did as you suggested, but it crashed even sooner that when I open it the normal way. I only have two extensions installed. I says it won't load one of them, as it is incompatible. I tried manually removing the only other extension, prior to starting, but it still crashed instantly. This is strange as I have used Flock for a long time now. I am hoping it's only because it's in beta stage.

Babs

Babs: Sorry to hear you're still having problems. I would suggest posting what you've written here on the Flock Support forum. Include your OS version and what happens when you try to disable extensions.

You'll get more focused support toward your problem there.

So far Flock 2b2 has fixed all the problems I was having before in b1. Flock FTW!

the best Flock ever. It is really stable and works like a charm - love it - I kicked Firefox away for new Flock version lol - great to see that all addons are working too now (wasn't in previous release)

keep at it
Regards Tanja

I love flock . . . it's excellent!

My complain is that the Flock Feed Reader does not tell me when a new feed is posted. So I have to go through all 500 feeds individually to see if there's new information posted???

Hey VAL,

The Flock Feed Reader icon will glow when you have any new feed items, which should solve your problem if you constantly keep your feeds "zeroed". I'm assuming you don't do that (I sure don't) and you're wanting to know which feeds have been updated. Right now there's no way for Flock to actively inform you of this, but MyWorld will show you which feeds are updated in the Feeds column.

Glad to hear Flock 2 Beta (two) is working well for people!

Hi i have just installed flock 2 beta i was wondering how can i import all my links and passwords from flock without having to redo them all by hand, thank you.

Love Flock! All the tools are great and so is integration with social networking sites. I also find the embedded blogging software very convenient. Can't wait for version 2. Thanks.

As founder of the thematic personal blogs Gubernatorially Speaking, Cranial
Mastermind, Sonyland - The Sony Blog, ManServant.com and WatTube.aol.
com, I found out Flock is the best way to break, share and know with other families, friends, neighbors, etc. - and get more of my knowledge done, each
and every year, one week at a time.

Flock is great. It's more stable than either FF3 or IE7. Both crashed all the time but I have yet to have Flock crash. And the social website integration is really helpful. Keep up the great work.

Thanks!
But I also hope can be use the Chinese Language version. Can I? Thanks a lot!

I'm simply in love with Flock. Yes, I agree that it is a lot more stable then IE and FF. And I LOVE the "restore sessions" feature! :) Good job guys!

Loving FLOCK!! Looking forward to FLOCK 2 once the Beta testing is complete.

I never thought anyone would win be over from Firefox.
What else can I say? That is the greatest honour that I can offer.
Keep up the great work!
