(on ubuntu 8.04)
in the bookmarks dialog box, what i assume should be check boxes next to the local folder and online favourites options do not show up for me - i eventually worked out that they should be there by clicking in the blank spaces and finding that it turned those options on and off.
also, sometimes when i have a sidebar open, then open a dialog box, when i close the box the close button on the sidebar doesn't work, and i can only close it by switching to a different sidebar and then pressing the close button

flock 2b2 has fixed the check boxes bug
i haven't yet had the problem with the sidebar in 2b2, don't know if it's been fixed or not
basically, having any sidebar open while opening a box such as "preferences" or "add-ons" meant that after the box was closed, the sidebar close button didn't work

I haven't seen your sidebar bug on Windows -- I can open the People sidebar and open the Options/Addons dialog boxes, then close the sidebar with the X after closing the dialog box. There's a chance that it's only seen on the Linux side.
What add-ons are you using? Does the problems occur 100% of the time when you follow your steps, or only sometimes? Can you reproduce the problem on a fresh profile?

no, it doesn't happen 100% of the time, and as I said it hasn't occurred to me at all yet using flock 2b2, so hopefully it's fixed
