If I click on an email link in a web page in Flock (or FILE > "Send Link via Email"), the browser tries to load my GMail account page which is NOT my main Email program. (I use Apple Mail.) It takes 5-6 minutes for Flock to load the Gmail account in a new Tab and stops everything in the interim.

How do I stop Flock from defaulting to Gmail when I use an email link from within the browser?

Thanks -- WK

Check out File->Options, Advanced Tab, Sharing tab, Webmail Settings. Changing sharing to use an external email program should solve your problem.

Thanks Chris -- I never would have found that. Mail service now defaults to my Apple Mail program.
Thanks for your support -

I seem to going through the same problem as Chris -- except I don't use an outside program. I use Gmail.

I haven't tried sending some random site as an e-mail but I have the same problem when trying to send a feed from the RSS part. It takes forever. Actually, it never really opened up for me. I waited for a few minutes then I closed it because I can't use anything else in Flock unless that is closed.

Is there a solution for this that I'm missing or an issue they're working on?

Karim,

If you are having a problem loading Gmail from the Flock browser, try following Jen Anderberg's advice at this link: http://www.flock.com/node/62132.

My Flock email buttons amazing!
I Had the same problem as hear ive just posted somewhere in this forum?

Later i looked up an old "yahoo" account i have for forum emails or sites that are a spam risk such as riviera reporter newspaper ads, once they have an email address spam arrives!

Now Flock has used that account as default!!??I think??Flocks just wonderful!I

Ive noted what to do to remove my "fastmail" address i gave outlook.

Why dose Flock use "outlook"??And not a better email client??

I still want a completely integrated "communicator" ala NS 7. Is seamonkey the only option?

Gray, why do you specifically want the browser and email client integrated? What do you gain from this integration? What do you lose by using Flock/Firefox and Mozilla's Thunderbird email client?

Seamonkey and Opera both have integrated browser and email clients, but I have not used the email clients on either.
