Adding Services

Is there a way to easily add services to Flock? Right now you do not support MySpace, Yahoo Groups! or any of the Microsoft Community Solutions. Flock seems like it would be a good place to consolidate all the myriad services around the net into one system easily.

Hey AVGreenLiving,

Thanks for the feedback. Flock is definitely your one stop for consolidated services, and we're always working on adding more. There are a few more comping in our next build, MySpace is coming later this year, and we're always taking votes for new services. I'll log your votes for Yahoo! Groups and Microsoft Community Solutions (though I expect the latter does not have available API's for us to work with).

Flock on,

The Windows Live SDKs and APIs can be found here:

Add me to the vote also please.

Maybe Flock should set up a web site to enable folks to vote for additional items.

Could you also look into adding Netlog? It seems to be growing at a fast clip (35 million members so far).

I use only netlog, and I will install Flock if you support it...

Wouldn't it be easier if we could add and remove "accounts and services" rather than be stuck with a predetermined list?

I would love to add a few smaller services to that list, apart from that Flock Rocks!

Hi RHCerff,

Thanks for the feedback. Ideally, we would like to be able to do that, but it actually takes a ton of work to integrate services into Flock. The developers here put in long hours to make sure the services will be compatible with the browser. So the short answer is, it's not really possible at this point because not all services have APIs that Flock can 'talk' to and work with.

Thanks for your time,
