a few cosmetic changes

1) When opening saved post in blog editor, don't open it in a new window. Keep it in the first one. I bet 99% of users immediately close the empty post.

2) Limit the number of yellow popping out boxes - they're annoying and in most cases useless. For example, when sending a picture to web clipboard, i don't need to see the information that image has been saved, I know how it works.

3) This is important - when viewing image from web clipboard, the window must auto-size the picture. The way it is now is very problematic with larger pictures.

4) Since Flock is highly customizable browser, I would very appreaciate portable version. Are you planning anything like that?

I may add something more as it comes to my mind...

Hey Nikopol,

Thanks for the very thoughtful feedback!

1) Totally makes sense, bugs me too. I will add it to the feature request list.

2) This is a tricky area, because these messagebars are essential in teaching new Flockstars about what Flock's features can do. You can turn these all off with the "dont show this again" checkbox (let me know if that's not showing up), but it's unlikely we'll kill any of these. That said, you and anyone else reading this thread should post your top 3 most annoying messagebars, and we will consider killing them.

3) I'm not sure I understand. Is this about sizing the picture, or the box?

4) This isn't really within our abilities right now...all our developers are fullspeed on the awesome features that are coming up. This may change as Mozilla's mobile work progresses.

1) Thx

2) How 'bout a compromise? Show it for the first say three or five times, then stop it. No, ok, i guess that's not a good solution. But, for example, when you're sendind a picture to the clipboard, there's no "don't show this again" option. At least make this option available everywhere. That would do.

3) Say you have a large picture in your web clipboard, right? You hit "View" but all you get is just a small cutout of the larger picture and to see it whole, you have to manually adjust the window. That's what I meant by autosizeing. The picture should be visible complete right away.

4) Ok, I figured it was a long shot. Nevermind.

Hey Nikopol,

1) You're Welcome

2) Yes, all of these messagebars should have that checkbox. I'll look into the web clipboard message bar.

3) Gotcha, so the window should expand to fit the image. Makes sense, adding to the list.

4) Kudos to you for bringing it up, I don't want to discourage people talking about stuff they want. Hopefully this will be within our means sometime in the future.

Consider this another vote for better portability...

There is a user created version knocking about, but being not very technically minded, it strikes me that the ability to store cookies and settings somewhere user defined (such as on the same USB key that the browser is on) should be possible, and would be a great and incredibly useful native feature.

(Loving Flock, by the way!)
