Hello,
Are you perhaps using a localized (translated) version of Facebook? If so, this is currently not supported but will be fixed in 1.1.1, which is due out shortly.
If this is not the case, there may be a bigger bug at play.

I'm actually having the same problem, I can log into Flickr and YouTube in the People sidebar but I can't stay logged into Facebook and it won't allow me to log in unless I delete it from the accounts and set it up again. As soon as I close Flock and reopen I can't login to Facebook.
Any advice would be great!
Emily
I have the same problem with Facebook after I installed the 1.1 from 1.1beta. All other services will log in automatically. However I logged out of facebook or even use "forget account" and reset the Facebook account, even when I actually logged into Facebook, the people sidebar still shows that I'm not logged in!
Please help.
Rolf
The same happened to me.
It actually wored for a while, and I could see my contacts in the People bar, then suddenly It stopped doing so, and whenever I am logged in to Facebook the sidebar says that I am not logged in
Tried forgetting the account, but no luck...

My Facebook sidebar stopped working about 2 or 3 days ago as well. Facebook probably made a change...
Evan Hamilton
Hey folks,
There was indeed a Facebook-side change that we need to update for. More info here. Fix coming soon!

I think I too am having the same problem. Flock v 1.1.2 and recently migrated everything to a new mac.
When I click the login, it takes me to a page with just an input for password, because I'm already logged in to Facebook.
If I logout, and use the button in sidebar to login, then it takes me to page for just e-mail and password. I login, but nothing changes in the sidebar, it still registers as logged out.
It was working after the migration, but has stopped for no apparent reason.
I moved my wife from a PC to our old mac, and upgraded to OS 10.5 at the same time, and it still works for her too. So I don't think I have configuration issue.

Actually, my wife is experiening the same problems now too.

Hey folks,
Facebook changed something the other night and broke our integration. We have fixed this in Flock 1.1.4, which you can get from the website or by going to Help>Check for Updates. More info is available here.

Thanks for getting the fix out, but what about 1.2a beta? It doesn't update using that procedure. Will it have to wait till the next beta release?
Kahlessreborn
Same problem with facebook in 1.1.4
Evan Hamilton
@Josh: We're trying to figure out our plan for this right now. 1.2b is right around the corner, so we may just wait to push that out.
@Kahlessreborn: Did you try the steps at http://flock.com/faq/show/67#q_61568?

i have the same problem as reported above. when trying to log in to flickr it very briefly shows my profile than it goes back to telling me i'm not logged in. i tried all the suggested updates but nothing helped. since i only tried out flock because of this sidebar-thing i'm kind of disappointed and it would be good to know when there's a final fix to expect (if at all)
thanks
Jen Anderberg
Hi blau meise,
Thanks for contacting us. Are you logging into Flickr by going to the web page, or by using the People Sidebar in Flock?
Please let me know and we'll go from there.
Thanks for your patience,

I too can't seem to log into facebook on the sidebar. I am using 1.2.5. The sidebar tells by I am not currently logged into Facebook. So I click the login to Facebook button. On the main screen I get the standard login screen and I log in. The main pops into facebook just like normal, but the sidebar still sayes You are not currently logged into facebook.
blau meise
well, as already said in my previous post, i'm trying to use the sidebar. logging in via web page works find
thanks
Jen Anderberg
Hi there,
If you both try Flock 2.0 Beta, this issue should be non-existent. http://flock.com/beta/download/ it's very stable and fast.
Please let me know how this goes and we'll go from there.

nope, same problem still there. i just seem to cannot login to flickr via sidebar. facebook works fine.
Jen Anderberg
Hello,
My apologies, I was misinformed. I was told the Beta would be updated with the Twitter/Facebook fix along with 1.2.5. But that is not the case. So the Flock 2.0 Beta will have a broken People Sidebar for Twitter and Facebook, and this will be fixed in the general release of Flock 2.0 this fall.
I'm not sure about Flickr, I haven't heard any other reports of this. On both 1.2.5 and the Beta 2, you cannot log into Flickr via the Sidebar? Even if you reconfigure the account, by 'forgetting' it and 'remembering' it again (through the Accounts & Services sidebar)?
Please let me know and we'll go from there.
My apologies for the confusion.

well, you understood correctly - in both versions i cannot login to flickr via sidebar. facebook works fine.
i tried reconfiguring the account, only thing that happened is, that when trying to logon again it did so on a completely random account: "9157063@N08". no idea who that is or why this weird browser think it should logon to this ;-) it just tries for a couple of seconds, though, then says again i'm not logged in - as before...

Hello,
Thanks for getting back to me. First thing to try, a fresh profile. Please follow the instructions here and restart Flock with a clean profile. This way we can see if something in your profile folder happens to be causing this issue.
Unfortunately, me and some members of the QA team cannot reproduce this issue on our end. If there is still a problem after trying a clean profile, please try to check your permission at Flickr. You can go to http://www.flickr.com/services/auth/list.gne?from=extend to determine where Flock has granted a "write permission". You can email me directly (listed below) the results of this finding.
Lastly, you can check whether or not your third party cookies are turned off. This can be accomplished by going to your Tools menu above, then Options and the Privacy tab. In that tab there is a checkbox that says "Accept third-party cookies", is that checked or unchecked?
Thanks, talk to you soon,

To comment on the "9157063@N08": that's Flickr's ID for you. I presume that these are your photos.
blau meise
nope, not my photos. and my id is a different one
blau meise
oops, sorry, yes they are. it's weird though, it used to say something different when it tried to log in. well, not working either way.
ChrisVance
Please try Jen's suggestion on http://www.flickr.com/services/auth/list.gne?from=extend to determine whether Flock has granted a "write permission".
