Does anyone know when they will be released? Just wondering because I'm starting to see blur and gray spots every time I look away from Flock =]

hmmm, as they always say, later in '07. =]

Some themes would be really nice... I like how polished the latest release was, but not including basic stuff like a few themes kind of betrays the air of customization that made me fell in love with Firefox.
I know you like your theme guys, but I need choices! For instance, horizontal space management in the bookmarks toolbar is horrible.

Hey folks,
We just recently put up the first version of our Flock theming guide at http://developer.flock.com/wiki/Create_a_New_Theme
This has been specifically sent to a small group of themers who are very interested in Flock theming, so hopefully we'll have some great themes from them soon.
In the future we also hope to include a bonus theme built into Flock's theme manager, but that will probably land after 1.1.
I'll keep you all updated as the themes roll in!

I've just uploaded to my deviant a dark grey flock theme, it's working perfectly on v1.0.8. I haven´t tested it on the new beta.
The theme is here
Hope you like it

ummm... downloaded the zip... unzipped it as a jar file then moved it to a new folder called dark grey as in "C:\Program Files\Flock\flock\dark grey" and it doesnt know its there... any ideas?
ronocdh
Granite, open up the Add-Ons menu and click on Themes. Then you can simply drag the .jar onto this pane, and the theme will install. Remember to double-click it to "activate" it, then restart Flock and you're good to go. While I don't think it's perfect, Pablo's theme does suit me better than Flock's default. Thanks again, Pablo!

You have to put the jar file in your profile/flock/extensions directory
inding your Profile directory:
For win32 systems:
*C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Flock\Browser\Profiles\\
You may need to set so you can see hidden directory to gain access to application data.
Hope it help some.

Just like ronocdh said...
click the link, open the .zip or unzip it to you desktop or where you want to.
then go to the Tools->Add-Ons menu on flock. It will open the add-ons dialog (just a little window displaying your currently installed add-ons).
Now, drag and drop the .jar file into that dialog. you're done.
Select the dark gray as your theme and restart flock
I hope my english to be understandable... I speak natively spanish =D
See you

Nice work Pablo, that's awesome!
FYI, we're currently working on getting theme support onto extensions.flock.com, so we can't put it up quite yet...but we will definitely let you know once we support that.
Drop me a line and I will shoot you a shirt...you definitely deserve to be called Flockstar. :)

anyone else have any for 1.1?
LakotaGhost
Not I, guess we have to wait, and I hope some nice themes come along soon.
Nate
Hi. I'd be interested in making a theme, but the default theme that's given in the tutorial seems to be slightly broken in the current version of flock. Is there somewhere we can download the latest version of the theme in jar format, or at least a working tutorial theme?
Thanks.
Evan Hamilton
Hey Nate,
We're reworking the architecture of the theme right now, which should make it a bit easier to theme. This should land with our Firefox3-powered version of Flock, later this year.

Hi folks,
I've spent a fair amount of time making sure this one works with no black-on-black text... the style sheets in Flock are quite complicated, but with good version management, customizing wasn't that tricky.
Thanks, developers, for an awesome theme, but a lot of use nerds prefer it blaaack..
The default 1.1.1 Flock theme, modified to black by NikT.

I installed this theme today in the newest flock and it works alright or seems to. This is Version 1.1.2 I am using.
LakotaGhost
Hi
Tried to install this theme in version 1.1.2 and it would not work (http://nikt.zog.net.au/blackdublin-nikt.zip), it looked like it installed, but would not, it stopped responding and caused problems with the browser. Something to do with the install script I beleive, not sure, all I know is it would not install and stop responding. Now all the themes on firefox (that did not work well or at all) would install but not display correctly for me at least, not in this version. The others that I did not find on firefox website and found here would stop responding in the middle of trying to install.
Paul-JC
just installed the dark grey theme and works great... looks nice too!
thanks
Paul

Nice work NikT!!
NikT
Thanks pablo - so it installed ok for you?
I tested it quite thoroughly - it takes a while to install - at one point warning the script is taking a long time to complete, but if you tell it to keep going, it should install fine.
This was tested on 1.1.1.
LakotaGhost
Hi NikT
I finally got it to install in version 1.1.2 and you did very well, quite nice, but I must tell you, it took 1/2 hour or so to do it. This perhaps was the most stubborn install for themes I have ever encountered, but worth it I think. Is there any way to speed up such things or is it just that the script does not like computers *smile*... ??
Thanks
Ivan
pablosambuco
The theme installed fine on 1.1c (I use this version at work)
It needed a couple of restarts (less than 1/2 hour!! 5 min perhaps), but finally I've got it working
Certanly there is some issue with the install script, it installs a Mozilla (incompatible) theme that I've had to uninstall.
NikT
Thanks for the awesome feedback peoples..
When starting work on this theme, I was just fiddling and a bit distracted.. I'll try to go over it soon and see if I can spot where the foul path lies.. i'll post a new version here within 7 days (I hope).
i'm glad you like the theme - thanks Dublin's original author, Brij - your base theme is what really made this great.
foridea
thanks the knowledge became useful
The Icon
great theme NikT the only problem I've found with it is while right clicking
You can't see a most of the list and have to "mouse over", don't know if this is because i'm on a Mac or what.

One reason I still use Firefox more than any other has to do with themes. I am glad to finally have one theme for Flock (lol) and its pretty good but when will there be others and why isn't this one up on your official page as I installed it without doing any of those complicated stepped...just opened the downloaded file and dragged it over like initially told in the thread. I tried to make one but its beyond me. Not very good with code or I would help you guys out.

Hi I would like to show you a 'CSS theme' that I created for my own pleasure.
I tried to it to look like Vista styles, and it shrink all the wasteful space that the original theme it has.
All that you have to do to have this theme is to install stylish extension and after that install the following stylish script at:
http://userstyles.org/styles/7130
You can preview there the theme. Sorry for my english.

pablosambuco
Hi Bobby,
Download the .jar file to you desktop or where you want to.
then go to the Tools->Add-Ons menu on flock. It will open the add-ons dialog (just a little window displaying your currently installed add-ons).
Now, drag and drop into that dialog. you're done.
Select the dark gray as your theme and restart flock
