Hey Flockstars,

You tell us a lot of things.  I spend much of my day reading your posts on our forum and blog, reading your /feedback messages, checking out your personal blogs, or just chatting with you.  And as much as I enjoy doing this, it's not just for fun.  We're always listening to what you have to say because it's incredibly valuable.  And, we're acting on this feedback whenever possible.

  • The return of the mouseover drag'n'drop sizing buttons on photos in the Mediabar.  There were many, many requests for this.  We heard you.
  • If subscribed to all feeds on a page, feed indicator will no longer be lit and feeds discobar will not appear.  Makes sense.
  • Ability to subscribe to Flickr pools (also known as groups).  I'm very excited to have this option.  Once you have 0.9.1, be sure swing by the Flock, Inc Flickr Pool!
  • Option to turn off automatic "Mark articles as read" when scrolling through feeds.
  • Better visibility of the down arrow on the "back" button in Mediabar.
  • Keyboard shortcut for Favorites Sidebar (ctrl+shift+F)
  • Keyboard shortcuts for New Blog Post and Open Blog Post (ctrl+shift+B and ctrl+shift+O respectively) Some people just love those shortcuts (see them all here).
  • Flock now remembers Accounts sidebar size.

The above highlights, along with several hundred additional bug fixes and feature enhancements for 0.9.1, are a huge step in making Flock a better browser for you, me, and folks who are just discovering Flock.

If you don't see your particular piece of feedback acted on, rest assured that all your awesome bug reports and suggestions are being organized and acted on across this – and future – release cycles. You can submit your feedback via www.flock.com/feedback, post on the forums, email me at the address below or join me for Community Office Hours.

Now that you've seen a list of what you made happen, check it out in action!  You can get an early download of Flock 0.9.1 here. Install, enjoy, and keep on sending more great feedback. It makes your browser even better.

Some nice improvements... But actually what bothers me most is the theme :/

I really don't like the huge space at the beginning and end of the navigation bar (where it has that curved gloss).

I can't wait to see the new improvements that you have done! It's getting late tonight, I must do this tomorrow! BUT. . . . Thanks, thanks, thanks!!

eh??? Still no support for Picasa Web Albums? I can't believe you guys have stalled so much on this...

Thanks for the comments, folks!

@Mwilley:You can remove those gaps by right-clicking (ctrl-click on mac) and choosing "Customize". Then just drag them right off the chrome and into that dialog box.

@monarch: thanks! :)

@Stalin: This is definitely on our list for 1.0, especially as final chrome elements roll in.

@jive: Picasa is definitely something we're looking into, but our focus for 1.0 is not on photo services. You will see more photo services pulled into Flock in the future, but 1.0 is going to involve more social services.

Hi Evans:

Can you give us some idea as to when Flock 1.0 will hit the streets. I can't wait!

Thanks,

Omar.-

Hey Omar,

Flock 1.0 is later this year, that much I can guarantee you (unless we are all eaten by bears or something). I don't have a tighter date to give you, but Shawn will probably have some news on that soon. I can't wait either, Flock 1.0 is going to be awesome. :)

I can't tell you how much I was waiting for the come back of drag'n'drop buttons, thanks soooo much ! :)

I am from ZA. I want to surf to sites in the roboPages but also want to stay abroad in geocities. Flocking to a blog means people i want to contact throu B! will be able to contact me thru here? I think the postboard in G! B! and Phone should have a visibilty test for PHnumbers? Bloggers in bloggers might flogg to flocker but do the phlock to blogger?

I want to go to a flicker pool but the same people in closed groups may not be available. Geocities in closed groups localise invitees and invitettes.

I am trying to set up Beauroz! dot com but must know how user groups tie in to PHZPH. Maybe at a site Beauoz1 . com which will be conferenced at once... A 17list from flock could be called out but reading through this is like a screening. Screening in HR is like reading books of people and giving directions from a good way bak to make interest holders in identifying with the beaurocratic standards in a modern life style. 17lists from gods, heros and legends become a name list that go to geocities Raphael, Nice , Amman and Aquaba. A platform there is 17emails a Page. Page finds are graded to Ninja And KaratekaFinds Are paged up through Squire to Samurai, that is a defense system at Komodo. Paging through calls present entities and labels them imminent, emminent or emminant, making the presence symbols a data referenceable cable at Hellerman Tytonn. these datas in dimension collection are plugs that make a refernce in sound technology at any turn or cable link. turns identify eventually as a collection unit that carries in data space clock time and item time. The first thing about the top level is Samurai and Knight are parsed on same... an economic equality is bought, meaning the platform

I'm still using Flock as my default browser, but there are still some serious issues with the Favourites management. I really hope a "sort by name" command will be added to the menu and sidebar. Also I've had a couple of favourites which have muted into something weird: the favourite info and link has disappeared and the only thing left is the favicon which I can't remove. You right click and there's no delete command. You check it in the Fav manager and the Delete button can't work. You're just left with those icons... forever!
Now, it's good I can manage my favourites on Delicious, but I'd like to be able to have the basic features of the browser fav management working fine.
Keep up the good work.
An idea for a distant future: why not integrate an E Mail client to improve Thunderbird? For example, it could have a tabbed interface, and handle multiple signatures way better.

I really like Flock, it's been great so far! I'm just wondering if/when you'll get more extensions, notably adblock or something similar. I really like that feature on Firefox and would love to see something comparable on Flock!

Flock really is something else been a breath of fresh air so far and there I was thinking I would be with Firefox forever keep up the good work guys!
