I am using the Mac version of Flock.
Is there a way to view Adobe PDF files from within the browser or do I always have to download PDF files and view them using another piece of software?
thanks

Hello,
Please let me know if you are using software other than adobe acrobat for viewing PDF files. Can you check and see if you have adobe's mozilla plugin properly installed? This is what gives acrobat reader the ability to load PDF files in the browser. If it's opening externally still and you do have the plugin installed, I would try reinstalling Adobe Acrobat with all browser windows closed, and then trying to view a pdf in the browser again.
I am having the same issue getting pdfs to open in the browser. I've tried closing flock and re-installing the acrobat plugin but it doesn't work.
How can I add pdf file handing under "content" in the prefs?
I am on windows XP using flock 1.0 and can not get PDfs to open in flock either with Acrobat Standard 8.0. Seems like a bug in Flock as all other browsers work with PDFs on my machine.
I'm having an issue with Flock, each time I load Flock it crashes because it can't find Adobe Acrobat 8.0, which I don't have. Can anyone tell me where to turn off the option that's making it look for this program? Thanks.
Thanks for letting us know. I was wondering, are you trying to open a PDF file when you're in Flock, or a link to one? Or is it just a normal website page that's causing this crash? It would be super helpful if you could send a screen shot. I will do my best to get this figured out!
Thanks so much, Jen Anderberg

I use Flock 2.0 at the moment, on a Mac and have installed the latest Adobe Reader (9). I've done everything suggested, but I just can't get a PDF file to open in the browser. It will still download it no matter what. There's also no plugin listed in the applications part of preferences, nor is it listed in the about:plugins.
I don't know what else there is I need to do, but would like to be able to open PDF files in the browser
I use the latest version of Flock, installed Adobe Reader 9 twice. The program won't open from the desktop. Is Flock preventing it from opening.I can save a pdf file to the desktop, right click on it and open with Flock, that works, but not the program itself.Any help would be appreciated,Thanx,Ken

What happens if we can't find the reinstall file for Acrobat?
Galen
Where do you download the adobe mozilla plugin?
cypherflux
The answer is to copy the Adobe nppdf32.dll to the flock plugin directory.

Hi Nancy,
It looks like there has been some issues with Adobe and Mac's Firefox 3 based setups. Please try out this: http://code.google.com/p/firefox-mac-pdf/.
Please let me know if this doesn't help.
