I have a back and forward button on my mouse, but they don't work in Flock, but they do work in IE6, IE7, and Firefox. So, could they be enabled or supported in Flock as well?

imnuts,
The back and forward buttons should work by default. What operating system are you using?
Windows Vista. It works fine in Firefox, IE7, and anything else that accepts the back/forward buttons, except for Flock. I also have the drivers installed for my mouse/keyboard (MX3100 combo)
Sorry for the late response. I think your post got lost in the forums somehow.
It seems that there is an open bug report for this problem. Hopefully this will get fixed in the future.
I know I will not be able to convince my friend to use Flock because he has a Logitech MX keyboard/mouse combo, and I am sure the back/forward buttons are quite valuable to him.
Just wanted to add that I recently purchased a Logitech MX610, and likewise the default mapped "back and forward" buttons (via Logitech's SetPoint) do not work.
Temporarily, to get the "back" button to work, I mapped it to keystroke 'BACKSPACE'.
1.
Right click on the Logitech Logo Icon in the System Tray and select "Mouse and Keyboard Settings".
2.
Click on the "My Mouse" tab; your pointing device should be shown. If you have more that one mouse connected, select the mouse you wish to program by clicking on the "Select Mouse" drop down menu.
3.
Click on the Forward button under the "Select Button" menu.
4.
Click on the bullet next to the "Keystroke Assignment" in the "Select Task" menu; this will open a "Specify Keystroke" field.
5.
Click your mouse cursor on this field and a flashing text cursor should appear.
6.
Press the ALT key and the right arrow key at the same time so the Keystroke field reads "ALT+right arrow".
7.
Click the "Apply" button to save your changes.
8.
Repeat steps 3-6 for the Back button, except press the ALT key and the left arrow at the same time so the Keystroke field reads "ALT+left arrow".
9.
Click the "Apply" button to save your changes.
10.
Click on the "OK" button to close the SetPoint software.
You should now be able to use your Forward and Back buttons

I think this should be fixed by the ppl from flock.com

Agreed, it'd be nice to have it fixed at the core level, however the workaround does work perfectly.

This is going to be bumping a crazy old topic, but I want to confirm that this works on a Mac but by substituting -[ and -].
Got it working on my Microsoft laptop mouse.
