Flock doesn't support keyword search, unlike Firefox. Is there an extension I can use to get this feature anyway?

It does support it, do the following:
Type about:config in the address bar,
Using the filter type keyword
double click keyword URL,
paste the following address:
http://www.google.com/search?btnI=I%27m+Feeling+Lucky&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=
Click OK,
Job Done.
Please note don't adjust anything else without knowing what you are doing.
This worked great. But.... when flock imports one's firefox bookmarks, it does not import the keywords. So when I turned the configuration on, all of the keyword fields were empty. :(
I installed Flock today (by the way, what a most unfortunate name!), and I said OK, import my bookmarks from Firefox, and what it did was import **** (i.e., only five Firefox-related links, of sheer irrelevance to me, but now my own bookmarks/favourites).
How long has this programme of yours been around? Three days? Two weeks?
I'm sorry to hear there you ran into an issue with Flock. I do not appreciate your language and have censored your post. This is a family-friendly forum.
FYI, we've been around for several years and most people have an extremely stable experience in Flock, especially with import.. We're built off of Firefox, so it's not exactly new technology.
In order to diagnose your bug, I need you to answer a few questions:
-What version of Flock were you using to try to import bookmarks?
-Which version(s) of Firefox did you have installed on your computer at the time?
-Which version of Firefox were you TRYING to import from?

What about delicious keywords? These work in Firefox with the delicious extension. Anything tagged with shortcut:(letter) is the same as the keyword field in Firefox.
I managed to get it working by saving the bookmark locally as well, but it would be cool if it worked like the delicious extension.
No, I don't mean bookmark tags, I mean if you tag a bookmark, in delicious, with "shortcut:g" or "shortcut:dict" or whatever, the delicious extension transparently gives it the smart keyword of g, dict, etc.
This does not happen in Flock. In fact, it doesn't appear that I can even associate a keyword with a delicious bookmark at all unless it is saved locally as well.
I would think that user expectation, at least mine was, for Flock to use the shortcut tags so I would have all my smart keywords.

Hey Dale, that's just searching google whenever you type in the address bar, isn't it?
I think what pdedecker meant was this:
http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/smart-keywords.html
Which is a feature that I love and use heavily, and I can't find it anywhere in Flock.

Hey folks,
I think this should solve what you're missing, but let me know if it doesn't: http://www.flock.com/faq/show/30#q_11752

Correction: "but not my own bookmarks".

Hey scragz,
We have a tag system for bookmarks in Flock, including delicious bookmarks. This should get you the functionality you need, I believe.

I should probably just file a proper bug.
