Flock for MorphOS?

I am 26 and been an Amiga user since 1985. In 2003 I bought myself an PegasosII PPC system and been a happy MorphOS user since then.

MorphOS offers AmigaOS speed + modern look + PPC power.. It is one of worlds fastest OS which got the title as the Lightning OS on OSnews.com

Check it out here: http://www.osnews.com/story.php?news_id=15209

Well, it would be really nice of you to say if you are interested. As I would gladly send you a free Pegasos system for FREE if your willing to help to convert it to MorphOS.

The problem with MorphOS, is that it`s not UNIX or Win32. Which means it needs programs to be written for it. Its graphic interface is very similar to AmigaOS and its Workbench.

MorphOS uses MUI -magic user interface for its GUI. Its very adjustable and the enduser have pretty much freedom to adjust the look . I would say its the easiest way to configure a look without beeing a genious :)

But there is projects going on to convert Firefox to all AmigaOS operating systems.

So there is a website called AmiZilla, which aims to give
$10,313.02 Booty to the first one porting Firefox or any Mozilla alike browser to AmigaOS.

It should run on following systems:
- MorphOS
- AmigaOS 4

The AmiZilla project includes a Native Amiga OS 4.0 version.

I actually like Flock and to get it ported to MorphOS, would be really great! As this OS dosent have a descent web browser. Atm we MorphOS users have to use a 68k web browser to browse the web. It does HTML 3 stuff and javascript. But has no CSS, JAVA or FLASH. It is also emulated as iBrowse is 68k running as a native program on MorphOS which is a PPC native OS.

Look here:
www.amizilla.net

and I hope that one day,.. the world will understand that MorphOS and AmigaOS4 is the leading operating systems. Because they are small and fast. They might not have memprotection atm but thats due to 68k backward compatibility with AmigaOS 68k software.

Flock is a nice browser and I would like as many other MorphOS/AmigaOS people to run it. Would be very nice :)

Michal

I'll port em!
Yea that last bit is why I haven't signed on with the peg/morph plan. Or AmigaOne yet for that matter. Besides the issue that no one has a ppc box (even low power) that goes for under 500. Way back with my Amiga500 I spent like 700.00 bucks.. Today I can grab any number of Linux capable boxes for like 300.00 or less in some cases. SLap E17 on it and a bunch of OpenSource tools and except for some games, I don't need Winedoze.

What I have to say to the Peg croud is this, port the source duke.. And if no one will really try give me one of those darn things and Ill Doit.. its hard but not that darn hard..
