Add Bebo/MySpace

You should add Bebo and MySpace to Flock.

I believe Myspace support is coming. Not sure what Bebo. Can you give us some features it has? Why is it better than what is supported now?

Because Facebook isnt Popular everywhere, Bebo is very popular here in New Zealand. Same goes with Myspace and Australia. Added those two would switch a few users over to flock

I will have to agree with adding Myspace. That is why I started using Flock because I thought it would work with Myspace. I also believe the Bebo is very popular outside of the united states.

Hey folks,

Thanks for the suggestions! MySpace has not been integrated yet because they do not have an available API yet, which means we can't integrate them at the quality level we prefer. Hopefully they'll come out with one shortly.

I know that Bebo is supposed to be coming out with some sort of API, and I will log your votes for Bebo integration.

Flock on,

MySpace's developer platform will be launching feb. 5th based on OpenSocial v0.6. I saw in the the tinderbox sulfur checkins that we should be seeing some kind of MySpace support fairly soon. And Bebo if i remember correctly will have 2 platforms, one based on Facebook's, and one based on OpenSocial, so, Flock should be fairly easy to integrate with Bebo.

I'd add Bebo. It's the 2nd largest network in the UK after facebook with the users of Bebo spending far more time on the site than a facebook user does.

It also uses a version of the facebook platform for apps.

You'll also find it's the largest network in Ireland - i think some stat says 1 in 4 of the pop use Bebo in Ireland.

Yes, MySpace integration is coming! Not in 1.1, and no dates yet, but we are working with their developer platform and building MySpace into the People sidebar.

Maybe you guys are keeping mum about it, but will the future MySpace integration into the sidebar allow Flock users to post blogs to their MySpace accounts? I really am a huge fan of Flock, even though MySpace isn't yet supported, it really does perform well at loading MySpace Profiles. Looking forward to new features!

Best!

Bebo integration, is very much needed. Actually quite disappointed its not added yet - but bebo and myspace are a must. Preferably bebo before myspace.

Bebo is huge in England, we use it so much down in south west, its used a lot by teenagers and kids whereas facebook isn't and teenagers are the prime users of the net it would be really good to bring more to use flock. Flock is the best for social networking and Bebo is the best social network, a match made in heaven.

Closing this thread because it gets a lot of spam.

MySpace support is coming later this year. We have been working with their brand-new API for months, so this is something htat will happen.

We have no plans for Bebo at this time, but if you would like to see Bebo integration, please open a new thread requesting it. I will log your votes within that new thread.
