You're invited by the Flock testing team to participate in our first-ever Flock Bug Day this coming Friday (May 19th), from 1:00-5:00 PM (PDT).

What's a Bug Day?

Bug Days are a Mozilla tradition going back many years. You're invited to join our IRC channel, try a new build, and play around with software testing by filing new bugs, and verifying existing bugs. Imagine if Flock QA held an open house.

If you haven't been part of an open source software testing team before, this is an ideal opportunity to learn the ropes. You'll learn how to test software directly from Flock's core testing team.

To attend, visit the #flock-dev IRC chat channel at irc.flock.com.

During the Bug Day, we may also have a special session/IRC dialog about a Flock testing subject of interest. (Your suggestions welcome!)

This is a special time for everyone at Flock as we approach the 0.7 release candidate. Thank you for the opportunity to share it.

Hope to see you there!

P.S. If you haven't yet used an IRC chat channel, you can find an introductory tutorial here.

haa.....waiting to meet new people....

Hey everyone....Its really fun to do Bug Testing..so come on in and join us.

I would be there, but: you start at 4am and finish at 8am Beijing time...:( Might not make it at these wee hours of the day

This sounds like a great way to get more people involved. The Moz/FF bugdays seemed to help focus the testing a bit, and at the very least verify/dupe some bugs.

I'll see if I can make it for the later part of the event, after work on the East coast.

I'd love to participate but that is the first day of my 10-day Alaskan cruise, so happy bug hunting in my absence.

Eli: You guys have any posters or publicity apart from this blog post? I am sure Chris or Jake Dahn can create some posters considering their work for cocoa dev house and stuff. It will be really nice if we can have some so that we can spread the word. Really looking forward to the bug day cos i have been really busy and so havent had time to verify bugs in flock for the past month.

Posters, eh?

Would they actually bring people in? I know that around here everyone and their brother is computer illiterate. So it wouldn't work all to well here, but would it bring in people elsewhere?

If it would spread the word effectivly and get new people involved with flock, I wouldn't mind making up a poster for a bugday.

Because only the senior players can buy lots of gold, but we can buy the cheap silkroad gold to play with other players. Though it only can buy little props, we can also win the magic. We believe ourselves, and we can do it.
