The 0.7.5 Flock maintenance release is now available to download from our site and as an automatic update. The fixes and enhancement for this patch are:
Based on FireFox 1.5.0.7
Fixed memory leak in Flock's web page indexer
Added support for copying BBCode for photos in photobar
Fixed several issues with handling Windows accounts that contain accents
Better handling of large fonts
Changed URL associated with "Blogged with Flock" to point to the blog with flock page
Added crunchgear.com to default list of news feeds
Updated Windows tray Flock icon
Thanks for your patience while we worked out this memory leak issue. I believe it will go along way towards improving the stability of the Flock browser. Your feedback is always encouraged. If you are still experiencing stability issues, please let us know!
Missing <p>, useless <br />s and a backwards </p>. Plus, as one starts adding content and switches between source and editor views more unneeded <br />s are added.

Hmmm, I hoped for a fix of the popup-window bug in 0.7.4 on the Mac but the new release shows no sign of improvement. Which is kinda strange when compared to the nightlies, where popup-windows popup real fast. Unfortunately this makes Flock unusable for me as it is.

So we will see feed integration like Firefox 2 has. so I can have an offline and online copy of my feeds.
Is it possible to have support for google personalized homepage.

I know You guys are working really hard on this. but its still so rough around the edges it hogs up so much memory the feed reader is so slow (I have more than 300 Feeds). Since you'r targetting the geek community do'nt you think these issues need to be addressed.
I love flock because it has all the cool features I want by default in my browser. But Time and again when I try to switch to it completely it doenst happen cos some bug/crash etc happens. Plus I am a blogger the internal blog editor needs a lot of lot of work, why don't you guys use the source code of performancing it such a great tool. In fact its the best blogging tool out there. I still hate the fact that your blog editor popus up in a seperate window their needs to be a option to open it in a seprate tab or like performancing opens up. Tabs were the best features of Firefox.

Another major annoyance is the master password pop up. It comes up every time I start Flock. The excruciatingly slow pop ups and miserable favorites management are the other two problems that keep me from being fully productive on Flock.

One more annoyance: Flock doesn't allow me to set shortcuts for any bookmark like Firefox does. Instead it takes me to strange pages from which it could never possibly receive any useful advertising revenue.
Damian: The Shelf renamed to Web Snippets. It was changed from being a topbar to being a bottom bar. There is an icon in the status bar toward the right side. You can click this to open, or drag text/images down to the status bar, and the Web Snippets bar will open automatically. This allows photos from the photo topbar to be dragged to the snippets to save them.
bohemicus: Flock sort-of allows shortcuts to be added. You need to right-click on text fields, and select "Add a Keyword for this Search...". After you add the keyword, the link is not added to the Flock favorites manager and cannot be editted from there (I recall there being a way to pull up the Firefox XUL bookmark manager page in order to edit these keyword shortcuts though). I'm looking forward to keyword shortcuts in Flock, myself.
I've never had a master password popup appear. Do you have any extensions installed? When do you first remember getting this popup? Have you set, or did you ever set, a master password? If you create a new Flock profile (similar to directions for Firefox profiles). This information is best posted to the Flock support forum.
MySchizoBuddy: I'm using Firefox 2 beta 2 as well (the continually-updated nightly, really). I'm not familiar with the online and offline copy of feeds. Are you referring to "Subscribe to this feed" page in Firefox, where you can preview the feed, and select where the feed gets added (as a Live Bookmark, to Google Reader, Bloglines, Yahoo, or a local installed application)?
billsaysthis: I've seen some of what you wrote with regards to the incorrect HTML in the blog editor. This should probably be looked at.
billsaysthis, can you please file a bug for the blog editor's incorrect HTML? This will help Flock folks to identify the issue, see who might be responsible, and prioritize their developers' time. I think some of the issues might be with TinyMCE, the blog editor being used.

I'm disappointed not to see more social bookmarking options. In particular, Ma.gnolia has adopted a del.icio.us-like API that should make adding the service pretty straightforward. Are there more options planned for the future? If so, which ones, and on what sort of timeline?

Hi
I love Flock! So congratulations for the excelent work :)
Some minor suggestions for improvement though:
creation of subfolders in the bookmarks toolbar folder. It would allow for more favorites in my toolbar & easy organization.
editable location textbox for a favorite, so i could for example add a favorite and then throuh properties replace the location with javascript:window.resize(800,600) for example.
Exporting bookmarks is a feature for the next major rev of the Flock (Danphe). We still have some work to do on this product but should start making it available in the next couple of weeks.

Thanks for this release. It runs great on a MacBook Pro!
Any idea when the blog writer will get fixed? What I mean is, the default generated code for clicking Blog This from the context menu is this:
<a href="http://www.dangerousmeta.com/">dangerousmeta!</a> <br />

Hi Folks:
This only thing I miss about Flock is having a full featured blog editor like the one used by BlogCharm or Performancing.
Blogging is about writing and having all the bells and whistles to aid creating writing.
When that happens all my dreams will come true with Flock.
Flock rocks!
Cheers,
Omar.-

getting rid of The shelf feature was a huge mistake. I haven't really used Flock since then.
/me takes a deep breath...

Is there polish version of Flock 0.7.5? Or when it will be?

& (much less important) Flock could be skinnable.

I'm so glad that the memory leak issue is fixed. I can Digg again with Flock!!
Thanks guys for your hard work! Keep on flockin.
Any word yet on when bookmark files will be exportable?
While having it send bookmark to online third parties automatically is nice, there are reasons to having exportable bookmarks.
Hi Realyst,
