If you're using Flock already, you should have received the request to update to Flock 0.7.1 by now. The release is an incremental update that tightens up some inconsistencies that were causing issues in the photobar. If you've been having weird problems with using photos and logging into services, hopefully this should clear it up.

From the release notes:

  • Logging in to Flickr now works on Windows with avast! anti-virus software installed, and Flock should no longer be able to have duplicate photo favorites in the photobar.
  • Experimental ability to use FireFox extensions that have not yet been made Flock compatible has been added. There is now a warning that must be responded to before the extension install proceeds.

0.9.1?

'd say 0.7.1

Think it's time to change the post title, eh? I swear, I got all excited, thinking it was time to take another huge leap closer to 1.0, and then I find it's just a typo. D'oh!

Is it just me or does the attribution line of your posts look a little odd?

Monday, Thursday? I think someone kinda messed up the format string on that one.

ah, web 3.0 has arrived!!; a browser that upgrades itself to 0.9.1 even though the developers are still working on 0.7.2 :-)

Sorry about the numbering goof. Looks like someone fixed it for me while I stepped out.

So will this be the first comment that's actually about the 0.7.1 release, as opposed to the blog post about Flock 0.7.1?

'Here goes... Flock is coming along nicely, though I wish there were some support for XFN or FOAF. LinkedIn do an extension for Firefox which looks through a page you're on for contacts in the business social networking site.

Thanks to XFN integration into Wordpress and a few other blog programs, people are already adding relationship data to hyperlinks on their sites (like their blogrolls for example). If Flock could tap into these, they could make every browser its very own LinkedIn, friendster, whathaveyou!

I would recommend for updating to let people know what is being updated. Maybe after the restart flock can open to a page with the list of updates.

lovin the browser and keep up the great work.

Thanks,
Carl.

That is a great idea Carl. I have created a bug for this.

You guys are great!

Great Job!!

Mee like flock!

Great idea

You did Great job.

I love flock - I tried it a long time ago, but the new Beta release was pretty much there ... Until this 0.7.1 release! Is there any way to downgrade back to 0.7.0? Flickr can no longer update contacts, and it can't find new photos. And blogging fails every time. (All on a mac, btw). What a shame :( Can I get 0.7.0 back?

Masseyis, can you please try the following?

Create a new profile and try to do the things that were failing for you before. See http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/profile for more info on creating a new profile.

If you still are having issues, post to the Flock support forum at http://www.flock.com/forums/support and others will be able to help you.

For the record, I have not had problems viewing photos and blogging to Wordpress with 0.7.1 on WinXP SP2.

What's up with the odd way flock stores its news feeds? Where da OPML at, yo?

Keep up the great work, guys. I came for the del.icio.us integration, I stayed for the sweet sweet search function. It's so good it's potentially more killer than the Quicksilver + del.icio.us combo on my Mac. Finally get to use the cool stuff on my Windows box now :)

Fantastic Browser, I wish there were themes tho.. :P

Dear Developers,
I am totally amazed by the functionality and speed that your browser offers and especially the photo sharing stuff!!
But i would like to suggest a few things
1.Please i am an orthodox internet guy and would like my favourites from firefox to be displayed the same way its done in other browsers..ie..in the bookmark tab!
2.plz make certain important extentions like flashgot, adblock plus,Roboform compatible with flock!

It's Firefox, not FireFox, right?

But did not actually think of all the final air, all hope is only a dream, the outcome of all have to write, the only regret all depart. Despite the fact that I have named the missing date, but it can not mark can not fly more burning, so it all will never be on schedule. Of course, if you have Cheap metin2 gold, you can buy what you want and you can do with them.
