and get ready to meet your new favorite browser!

Found bugs? Have suggestions?
We'd love to hear it (it'll only make Flock better). Submit your feedback at http://www.flock.com/feedback. We strive to get to every email!

ATTENTION: This is a beta. Beta software is imperfect. If you are an existing Flock user, we suggest you back up your existing profile (bookmarks, feeds, passwords). Instructions for doing this are here.

Flock Feature Enhancements

Introduction: Feature Enhancements in Flock 2

So, now that we've gone over all the cool stuff that we've inherited and adapted from Firefox 3, let's talk about Flock. Flock provides a number of awesome tools for surfing, interacting with, and living on the web, and of course these are all present in Flock 2. However, we've also managed to throw a few new things your way despite having focused significant effort on the transition to the Firefox 3 platform.

What exactly will I see in Flock 2?

All sorts of people use Flock, and they all use it in different ways. Some people like to sit back and let the information come in at a steady rate, some people like to push out and publish their own material, and some people like to know the moment that something happens on the web.

For these people, we've added a manual refresh for feeds in Flock's Feed Reader. No longer do you have to wait for an hour to find out what's going on. Within two clicks, you can refresh an individual feed, a collection of feeds, or all your feeds (just don't get too overzealous if you're sharing your wifi). The Feed Reader will also now tell you when each feed was last updated.

We know that Flockstars also love to be the first to see the latest and greatest videos on the web. To that end, we've integrated the Revver video network in Flock's Mediabar, so you can search for, view, share, and subscribe to streams from Revver.

Is that it?

I wouldn't count on it. Flock 2 is going to have a long beta cycle like Firefox 3 did, because of all the major changes under the hood. During this time we'll be fixing bugs that crop up, but we'll also be working on feature requests and enhancements from the community. And we have a few more things up our sleeves. We're not revealing anything yet, but just keep in mind as you try Flock 2 beta (two) that there's more to come.

You can be part of this! As you explore Flock 2, please send us your feedback so we know what you want, what's broken for you, and what you love. Feedback can be submitted at http://www.flock.com/feedback.

Flock'n'roll.

THANKS!
for being a Flock 2 test pilot!
