Gretchen is originally from the Washington, DC area, where her proximity to politics seems to have left her unscathed. She moved to the Bay Area in 1999. She lives with her husband, who works for Yahoo, and their two-year old daughter.
Gretchen has a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from San Francisco State University. She also attended Oberlin College. Her professional background includes IT recruiting and sales, HR, and office management.
Gretchen's favorite browser is "Flock, naturally!"
In her free time, Gretchen is an avid reader and a scathing movie critic.
